Award-winning and AACTA-nominated cinematographer, Aaron Farrugia, has over 19 years of industry experience . He began his career as a film loader, advanced to focus puller and camera operator, mastering remote head, geared head and gimbal, working on Australian and international feature films and TV series. As a cinematographer, Aaron shoots TV commercials, music videos, film and tv, earning multiple Australian Cinematographer Society awards. He has worked across Australia, Asia, and Europe.

I studied Photography at RMIT-Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, worked as a camera assistant /clapper loader for about 5 years and then ran my own small production company, handling almost all roles from producing to post.

Later I started freelancing as a commercial cinematographer, followed by a year at the AFTRS in Sydney, graduating with a Graduate Diploma – Cinematography. I lived and worked in Sydney for 6 years then returned to Melbourne to be closer to family.
